Break Free

There's a bubble of happiness
Moulded with satisfaction.
Of all that belongs to this life
And all its ambiguity.

Unaware of the disparate needles
Ready to rupture the bubble.

When the distress finally sinks in
Everything is stupefying.
The unimagined happens
With its acceptance being intensely arduous.

It's a confrontation with the reality
Accompanying dysfunctionality.
Sleep seems to be a distant dream
And dreams become will-o'-the-wisp.

Exhaustion becomes a constant companion and
It's the monarchy of disconsolate emotions.
The life loses its life.

Until there comes a day
When there's no more grief to grieve about.

The decision to bring life back to life, dawns upon.
And that's when you break free.

Break free from the shackles of melancholy
And step into the world of contentment
One more time.

Life and Leaves.

It was fall.
I was walking through the woods crushing the dried leaves.
Listening to their crackling noise.

When I realised, we're all dried leaves in the circle of life at some point.
Letting people crush our heart to pieces for it to never get back to the way it was.

The difference is, there's no noise when the heart is crushed.

Emotional Enigma.

She loved a lot.
Genuinely did.

She didn't hug. She didn't say 'I love you'.
Expressing was not her cup of tea.

It was her first holiday.
After three complete months from a job 2000 kms away.

She'd missed her moms cooking.

Called in for the flight.
Excited, she held her bag tight.

For flying the very first time, she'd had a sleepless night.
The sleep demon, she couldn't fight.
And drifted into a nap.

An hour later, she woke up to the sound of announcements.
They signalled,
Turbulent weather
Emergency landing
Oxygen masks and life jackets.

Her whole life flashed in front of her eyes.
And her heartbeat had a rise.

Her moms unconditional love.
Fights with her brother were still incomplete.
The unmatched lessons her dad gave her over the years.

The end of it all was near.
The loud sound of her heartbeat she could hear.

The flying beast almost swayed.
So passionately, anyone in there, had never prayed.

It took a while.
For the nature and its Creator to show, they had something else in store.

The beast turned into an obedient machine.
Their fates had flipped and they were back on land.

She saw her mother and her eyes watered.
With her hands, her face, she covered.

She had an emotional rush.
For now, her heart needed to 'shush',
And she did something she ever so rarely did before.
She HUGGED her mom like never before.

Where does your Euphoria lie ?

She studied Science.
While yearning to study the biology of Literature.
To assimilate the chemistry between Words.
To ascertain the physics lying beneath beautiful Poetry.

She lived for the euphoria of escapism into her own world of Words.
Yes, lived for it.
